REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Engineering degree / diploma preferably with 2 years practical experience
Well developed interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with high levels of energy and drive.
Experience in training methodologies would be beneficial.
Above average writing and presentation skills.
Required to travel extensively throughout Africa and abroad
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide product knowledge and system application support to explosives distributors for the range of electronic detonator products.
Conduct qualification and field trials and test blasts for new electronic detonator systems (incl. upgrades) as and when they become available.
Provide accurate and informed feedback to product designers and developers to ensure continuous improvement in design.
Train, pass out and certify trainers /end users of the system, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures relating to the use of the product.
Preparation of training manuals and presentation material.
Required to conduct regular annual control equipment and user audits at customer site as well as the planned job observations.
Liaise with customers at lower and middle management levels to improve relations and provide optimum technical service that enhances the value of the brand.
Compile and present technical recommendations where applicable.
The incumbent will be required to travel extensively throughout Africa and abroad.
