As someone that is looking for a job here are a few tips to effectively use this employment website to find that dream job that you are looking for:

First major tip is that most job websites are free to people looking for jobs. Usually the jobs website charges the employer or recruiter to advertise or place a position, of course thejobs.co.za does not charge anyone anything and it is a free jobs website to job seekers, employers as well as recruiters.

So the first tip is that you must create yourself a short term email address at gmail, yahoo or wherever and use this email address to create accounts for yourself at every website out there. (This website will never send you unsolicited email, so you can use any email address you like here, we will also never distribute your data, information or email address )

Then, when adding yourself do not add all your data, for example use only a postal address as your physical address, even use a fake postal address. After you have researched the company wanting to view your CV, you can send the company your real CV. On this jobs website employers and recruiters cannot just view your CV, you have to give them permission to do so. On many other websites your data is open and available to the world. So be careful what data you enter into a website, you never know where that data is going to end up and criminals doing identity theft, fraud and other bad things, may use your data to create a false identity for themselves.

So do not just allow someone to see your CV on thejobs website, first have a look at the company, check if they are real, just having a website means nothing, my 5 year old son has a website. Double check the information and research the company on Google or Bing.
